Lisa Finn

Lisa Finn, M.Ed., BCBA, is the Founder and Director of Programs and Instruction at Image of God Academy. She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Exceptional Student Education from Florida Atlantic University. During her 18 years with the School District of Palm Beach County, Lisa has served as both a classroom teacher and a district-level ESE specialist and administrator, supporting students with complex behavioral and learning needs and training educators throughout the district.

Lisa’s heart for individuals with disabilities began in high school and has remained at the center of both her career and ministry. In 2019, she began developing an adapted Bible curriculum to help children with varying learning needs meaningfully access and engage with God’s Word. That curriculum became the foundation of the Awana Explorers program and deepened her understanding of how greatly families need Christian learning environments designed to include their children.

Lisa believes God has uniquely prepared and called her to establish a Christian school where students with complex needs are fully known, meaningfully taught, and valued as individuals created in the image of God. Her vision for Image of God Academy brings together her faith, professional expertise, and passion for partnering with families so every student has the opportunity to grow in their God-given gifts.
